This is the second year that Acting Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages Gulbarshin Baigunissova has been working as a visiting professor at the Nukus State Pedagogical Institute named after Ajiniyaz (Uzbekistan). If last academic year the pandemic situation led to distance learning, this academic year has pleased with the opportunity to share experiences offline. At the invitation of the leadership of the institute, G. Baigunissova visited the Ajiniyaz Institute from March 14 to 18, where she lectured on Methodology and technology of teaching languages course for 3rd year students (5111400 - Foreign Language and Literature), conducted scientific consultations with undergraduates 1 and 2 courses. Of great interest was Some Aspects of Teaching English scientific and practical seminar which was held by our teacher and dedicated to the use of modern methods and information technologies in teaching English. The participants of the seminar were colleagues of the Department of English Language and Literature, as well as everyone who wished to discuss topical issues of teaching foreign languages. Invaluable assistance in the implementation of the academic mobility program to our scientist was provided by the head of the Department of English Language and Literature A. Tazhiyeva, Acting Docent of the Department D. Mamyrbaeva, assistant of the department N. Nuratdinova and other teachers.
As usual, work in a foreign university is not limited to lecturing. And in this case, a great opportunity presented itself to touch the culture of the Karakalpak and Kazakh peoples. Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Innovative Technologies, Chairman of the Kazakh Cultural Center of Karakalpakstan Zh. A. Darenov and teacher of the Department of English Language and Literature, Ph.D. N. Zhalgasov organized a visit to the native places of the Kazakh poet T. Aibergenov, the State Museum of the History of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
