"Religious extremism - a threat to peace and stability"

On October 7, 2022, a curatorial hour was held on the topic "Religious extremism - a threat to peace and stability" for 1st year students of the specialty "Kazakh Philology". The event was attended by the head of the department of "Kazakh linguistics" Kuanyshbek Turarbekuly and students of the specialty "Kazakh language and literature". The purpose of the curatorial hour is to provide information about religious movements that are considered a disease of modern society, and ways to prevent and combat them, to expand the worldview related to social and religious issues.

During the event, information was given about the concepts of religious extremism, terrorism, their signs and factors of occurrence. Students shared their views on religious movements and their propaganda and dissemination in our society. They expressed their opinion on preventive measures and methods of struggle. The attention of the students was presented with a video of educational value "Religious extremism - the path to death." Summing up the lesson, the curator of the group, Lyazzat Aubakirovna, citing specific examples from life, warned student youth to beware of alien movements, to improve religious literacy.
