“The phenomenon of Rabiga Syzdyk: the present and future of Kazakh linguistics”

   On November 22, 2019, professors, students and doctoral students of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics had the opportunity to participate in the webinar in scope of international scientific conference “The phenomenon of Rabiga Syzdyk: the present and future of Kazakh linguistics” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, holder of the 1st degree order "Barys", academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honored scientist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Syzdyk Rabiga Satigalikyzy. The webinar was organized by the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay. Participation of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov in the webinar was organized by the acting Professor of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics, Candidate of Philological Sciences Sarseke Gulnar Adebietkyzy. Other higher educational institutions of various regions also took part in this event.

 

   Academician R. Syzdyқ shared her thoughts on pressing issues of the Kazakh language, science, scientific path and biography. The scientist drew special attention to the young participants of the conference and thanked the students. Participants in the webinar were interested in fundamental scientific research in the literary language, the art of speech of K. Zhubanov and A. Baitursynov. Professor of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics, candidate of philological sciencesZhakypov Zhantas Altayevich congratulated the scientist on her anniversary and asked how the scientist approached the topic of A. Baitursynov’s research, and the motivation that led her to the beginning of the study of Akhmet.

 

   Rabiga Sattigalikizi fully answered the questions of the webinar participants and shared informative and interesting scientific data. “... This is what the radio can offer us. And I am very grateful to the teachers and parents of these children, because they teach Kazakh literature, a poem, a simple word, the Kazakh language will not die and will not be forgotten. There is only one way to destroy the language, there will be no need to intimidate, it is enough to close Kazakh schools and the language will disappear. The language will be forgotten in two or three generations. Therefore, only school and the environment can preserve our language. We need an environment in which Kazakh is spoken. At the same time, one of the types of this very environment is to write poems and songs, to perform them ... Thank you, my dears! ”- with these words, Rabiga Syzdyk summed up.

   A unique interview with a unique scientist, a talented linguist, the founder of a scientific school, Rabiga Syzdyk, was a good lesson for teachers, young people in the field of science, calling them to knowledge and kindness.
