On February 2, 2018, the Chinese Philology Department of Philology Faculty held an "Opening Day". During the day, the Chinese Philology Department carried out systematic work on propaganda to students of secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums in Astana. Such as №50school named after Raimbek batyr, №58 school-gymnasium, №67 gymnasium, № 48 school-lyceum of Astana, the secondary school of Koyandy.
The Open Day of the Chinese Philology department was opened by Zharkynbekova Sh.K who is the Dean of Philology Faculty, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor.The dean of the faculty gave information about Eurasian National University, including the Chinese Philology Department.
The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that China and Kazakhstan are friendly neighbors and important strategic partners, as well as the SCO member countries. China highly values relations with Kazakhstan, sees in them one of the priority areas of foreign policy. After the establishment of diplomatic relations, China-Kazakhstan relations invariably develop in a healthy and stable channel. Especially after the president of China Hu Jintao and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in July 2005 decided to create a China-Kazakhstan strategic partnership, their relationship has developed rapidly. Close contacts are observed at a high level, political mutual trust is continuously strengthened, fruitfully practical cooperation. In this connection, a number of important state documents were signed between Kazakhstan and China. At present, Kazakhstan and China every day expand humanitarian cooperation, activating exchanges and cooperation in the field of culture, education, tourism, health, mass media, etc.
Now our department of Chinese philology closely cooperates with the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Teachers from Chinese universities are invited every year to improve their students' skills in lecturing. We work closely with the leading universities in Shanghai, Xi'an, XinJiang which have concluded agreements on the student exchange program, as well as two diploma programs. That is, within the framework of this program, our students have the opportunity at a time to get two diplomas. In addition, every year on certain dates our students have the opportunity to go to other universities of China once a year to pass a language test. At present, with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan, our audiences have been equipped with modern multimedia classes and linguistic classes.
In the "Opening Day" all teachers of the Chinese Philology Department conducted career guidance work, explained the importance of the specialty of Chinese philology. The Chinese Philology Department plans to hold meetings in schools with the purpose of conducting explanatory talks on the specialty of Foreign Philology: Chinese Language and Thematic Meetings on "Spiritual Development".
