On February, 22 in the framework of «Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity» teachers of the Department of General Linguistics and Translation Theory of Philology Faculty Uteuliyeva Aigerim Amanzholkyzy and Saduakassova Aida Berikovna organized a meeting with pupils of 8-11 grades of secondary school #37 after Syrbay Maulenov of Astana city.
In addition to the lecture, teachers organized practical activities and discussion on the theme of transition of Kazakh alphabet to Latin graphics. Teacher discussed and explained the changes submitted on February, 19 to the Decree of President of RK ‘About transition of Kazakh alphabet from Cyrillic to Latin graphics’. Pupils were fully engaged in the lesson due to their interest in this sphere. Pupils of the class 11 A – Raikhan Ardak, Jaksybekov Temirlan and Turar Dariya showed their knowledge of the theme and were notable for their opinions during the discussion.
In conclusion an English teacher Otynbekova Medelkhan Nurmoldayevna shared her ideas about this program. Disciplinary Vice-principal Toleuova Gulzhan Daribayevna summarized the meeting and thanked Eurasian National University, Board of Education and administration of Astana for assistance to organize the event.
