Educational lecture «The King of poetry» within the framework of the summer «Kultegin school»

June 8, in accordance with the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Togzhanov E. L. the third day of the educational summer camp «Kultegin school» for pupils of school № 87 named after Abai Kunanbaiuly in Nur-Sultan was held according to the program for the implementation of events within the framework of the «Year of children».

Senior lecturer of the Department of Kazakh literature, PhD Karipbayev Zhanbota Tasbulatovich held a lecture on the topic: «The King of poetry».

In the frameworks of the given event an explanation was given about the research work on the basis of cooperation between the Department of Kazakh literature of the University and the Scientific Research Institute     «Abay Academy». Students were introduced to the works carried out at the Abay Academy and books published so far. The lecture highlighted the importance of studying the heritage of Abai Kunanbaiuly and its importance for modern Kazakhstan.

Professor of the Department of Kazakh literature, doctor of philology Rakhimzhan Turysbek also shared his thoughts on Abai's heritage.

Students were also acquainted with the work carried out at the Department of Kazakh literature, published books.

At the end of the lecture, Yerdaulet Rakhimbayev, a student of the 8th grade of the Abai school, winner of the first place of the Republican Abai readings, read a poem by Abai, and Tleukabyl Dosmukhammad, a fifth-grader, read poems and sang songs. Professor R. Tursybek gave them a blessing so that the boy was grateful to the artists.

The students of the school were accompanied to the lecture by Daulet Zhalel, PhD student of the Department of Kazakh literature.

After the lecture, the students were introduced to the classroom of Adi Sharipov, where the head of the Department of Kazakh literature K. Kemenger and the head of the Department of Kazakh linguistics K. Malikov told about the importance of studying the Kazakh literature and language.
