Informative lecture «Journey to the monuments of ancient Turkic writing»

June 10, in accordance with the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tugzhanov E. L., in order to implement the events within the framework of the «Year of children», according to the program, a lecture was held in the «Museum of writing» for students of the educational summer camp «Kultegin mektebi» of the Abai Kunanbaiuly School No. 87 in Nur-Sultan. 

An informative lecture on the topic «Journey to the monuments of ancient Turkic writing» was held for students of the 10th grade by the lecturer of the Kazakh Linguistics Department, PhD, associate professor Kenzhalin Kuanyshbek Karimuly.

Students were interested in the museum «History of writing», which was opened in 2003 on the recommendation of Turkologists at the University in an informative, educational and methodological direction in order to study the history of writing of the Turkic peoples and promote it to the population. «In the history of human development, the nomadic civilization was formed, the idea of «Mangilik Yel» was presented, and the Turkic people, who now speak 26 languages of mutual origin, used 16 patterns of writing in their history since alimsak, introduced the students to the unique patterns of writing used by Turkic-speaking countries in the Eurasian space, as well as the most valuable heritage of writing».

Students received detailed information on the examples of written monuments dating back to the pre-modern era, the written monument of Kultegin and the alphabet of A. Baitursynuly.  Through an open dialogue, feedback was established between students and the lecturer on the history of writing.
