According to the information giving by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 718 applicants from 76 higher educational institutions of the country participated in the competition. Such indicators were evaluated in the competition: the development and publication of electronic educational resources, educational materials, scientific publications in native and international journals, the availability of patents for inventions. The quality of the applicant's teaching, his work in training personnel in undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies were also evaluated.
The competition was held on the basis of the information system of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the participants could observe the transparency of all stages.
The commission included representatives of NGOs, the media, student and youth organizations, the Association of Kazakhstani universities and experts in the field of education.
