At its plenary session as of December 10, 2011 the Kazakh Senate adopted the law “On amendments to the law “On holidays in Kazakhstan”. The Day of the First President was established to mark and recognize the distinguished merits of 1st President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the country. Since that day our country celebrates the Day of the First President on 1st of December.
On this occasion the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages hold an event “N.Nazarbayev is our support."”As part of the celebration of the Day of the First President on November 29, 2017, the students of the group FL-12 prepared a festive programm devoted to this great Day. Students and teachers of the department and faculty were invited to the event.
The guests were congratulated by the Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages Beisembaeva Zh.A. She congratulated participants on the holiday, flashing back to the historic event on December 1, 1991, when they first elected their own President, and listing the achievements made thereafter. With popular support Kazakhstan made unprecedented progress, she said. During the event, the guests learned about the life of Nursultan Nazarbayev, from his childhood to the present. The story was accompanied by a multimedia presentation.
During the meeting, the students performed the songs in Kazakh and English.
