The Department is headed by doctor of philological Sciences, Professor Evgenia Aleksandrovna Zhuravleva – linguist, a specialist in the field of language theory, sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, author of over 220 scientific papers.
Leader and participant in fundamental and risky projects programme of the competitions of MES of RK (2008-2017). The holder of the grant of the Fund "Soros – Kazakhstan", winner of the state grant "Best University lecturer", 2006, 2015.
