Achievements of the teaching staff
Leading scientists of the department were awarded many state and departmental awards: Honored workers of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Sh.K.Zharkynbekova, A.E.Agmanova); breastplates of MES RK “For Merits in Development of Science of Kazakhstan” (E.A.Zhuravleva, Zh.A. Dzhambayeva); and “For Contribution to the Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan” (Sh.K.Zharkynbekova); holders of state scientific scholarships for scientists who have made an outstanding contribution to the development of science and technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (M.B. Nurtazina, Sh.K. Zharkynbekova); holders of the “Y. Altynsarin” breastplate (Ayupova G.K.), awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (M.B. Nurtazina, A.E. Agmanova), the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan (E.A. Zhuravleva), letters of thanks MES RK (Zh.N. Zhunussova); awarded the medal “25th Anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan” (Sh.K. Zharkynbekova, E.A. Zhuravleva), the breastplate "Meyirim" of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (M.B. Nurtazina, Zh.A. Dzhambaeva, G.K. Ayupova, B.Kh. Galiev, D.S. Tashimkhanova).
The winners of the state grant "The best University Teacher" in different years were: Sh. K. Zharkynbekova (2005, 2011), E. A. Zhuravleva (2005, 2014), Zh. N.Zhunussova (2009), M.B. Nurtazina (2009).
The holders of the Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan Grant are Doctors of Science, Professors Sh.K. Zharkynbekova (2019), M.B. Nurtazina (1995, 2001, 2003-2006), A.E. Agmanova (1996), E.A. Zhuravleva (1999, 2001), Zh.N. Zhunussova (2000-2003). The holders of grant programs are M.B. Nurtazina - International Scientific Grants from the US State Department (Harvard University, 2007-2008) and Germany (Trier University, 1999-2000); Sh.K.Zharkynbekova - "Bolashak" state programme.
For several years, Doctors of sciences, Professor Sh.K. Zharkynbekova, E.A. Zhuravleva, J.N. Zhunussova and A.E. Agmanova were members of the Dissertation Councils for the defense of doctoral and candidate dissertations. Many teachers are members of the jury and experts of Olympiads and competitions in the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn"; are members of the editorial boards of international and republican publications; are the initiators of city profile Olympiads and competitions.
The members of the Department are also the members of international scientific organizations: Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Sh.K. Zharkynbekova is a member of the European Association of Women Scientists (Brussels). 15 teachers of the department are members of the public scientific organization KazPRYaL, within the framework of which meetings are organized with scientists from the CIS countries and far abroad.
Achievements of students, undergraduates and doctoral students
Students' involvement in scientific work begins from the first year. Under the guidance of the Department's leading scientists, students write term papers and thesis, and make presentations at scientific conferences.
Students' scientific research in linguistic science is evaluated by diplomas and certificates, and is reflected in publications. Every year student works are published in various collections, including outside Kazakhstan (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine), many diplomas and certificates have been won at conferences and Olympiads in Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Pavlodar, Shymkent), Russia (Moscow, Sochi , Nizhny Novgorod, Kemerovo, Tula, Surgut, Kazan, Kirov) and Romania (Iasy).
Students of the Department are active participants of all events held by the Department and the University dedicated to the memorable dates of scientists and linguists, writers and poets, as well as under the guidance of tutors they organize creative events and celebrate national holidays.
Every year, undergraduates of the Department undergo scientific training in leading universities of the near (Russia, Belarus) and far abroad (Germany, Poland, Hungary), take part in international conferences, carry out research projects together with their supervisors, participate in various competitions and show high performance of their research. Our undergraduates have a high publication activity, during the training period, each of the undergraduates publishes at least 6 scientific articles, 4 of which are outside of Kazakhstan.
Within the framework of the Consortium "Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States" since the 2009 academic year, a joint with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Russian Federation, Moscow) has been training masters in the program of double-diploma education (with the receipt of diplomas from Kazakhstan and Russia) in the specialty "6M020500 - Philology ...
Doctoral students take an active part in international scientific conferences held in countries of near (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus) and far (Canada, Switzerland, Italy, USA, Great Britain, Germany, Singapore, Cyprus, France) abroad. Based on the materials of their research, articles are published annually in journals recommended by the KKSON MES RK, in prestigious scientific journals with a high impact factor.
