In October 2019, 4 students of Osh State University of the Kyrgyz Republic Aisuluu Abdrayeva, Guldana Ashim kyzy, Orkyz Zhusubali kyzy and Orozgul Samatova arrived at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University under the academic mobility program. 3rd year students arrived to study at the Faculty of Philology, Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department in the bachelor degree program “5B011900 – Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” in the group with the Russian language of instruction B3-11901-02. The period of student exchange at ENU lasts from October 1, 2019 to January 18, 2020.
Upon arrival, the students were accommodated in the new university hostel, met with the dean of the Faculty of Philology A. Beisenbay. The dean greeted the students, spoke about the Faculty of Philology and wished them success in their studies.
Head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department Zh. Beisembaeva acquainted the foreign students with the teaching staff of the department, with the academic adviser for the 3rd year students D. Kydyrbayeva and tutor of the group G. Tasbulatova. Advisor D. Kydyrbaeva together with representatives of the Office Registrar drew up individual curricula of each of the 4 students for the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. Aisuluu, Guldana, Urkyz nd Orozgul will study such disciplines in the current semester of this academic year as “Profession-Oriented Foreign Language (Level C1)”, “Academic Writing”, “IELTS International Exam Preparation Course”, “Political and Economic English”, “Business Correspondence”, “Foreign Language Teaching Methods”, “Basic Turkish language” with students of the Turkic Studies Department, where classes are taught by a native Turkish speaker.
The four foreign students have already managed to visit the sights of the capital and are going to visit the historical attraction of Kazakhstan – ALZHIR (Akmola Camp of Wives of Traitors to the Motherland).
