In the article "Course to the future: spiritual revival", published on April 12, 2017, the head of state Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that one of the main conditions for the modernization of public consciousness is the preservation of spiritual values, as well as maintaining interest and respect for traditions, history and culture, the language of the native land.
Supporting the main aspects of the program" Spiritual renewal " students and teachers of our University take an active part in the activities aimed at the formation of Kazakhstan patriotism.
As part of this program, December 4, 2018 in the library of the Eurasian national University. L. N. ENU senior lecturers in foreign languages M. A. Idrisova, A. A. Dyussengaliyeva, Tunesh B. organized the event "Ruhanilyktyn kausar bulagy" in which the students of the first courses took part. One of the main goals of the event is to educate comprehensively, harmoniously developed personality,speaking three languages – Kazakh, Russian and English. Therefore, the meeting was held in three languages, with more attention paid to the native language in order to instill in the younger generation a love for the Motherland.
During the event, the most lively interest was aroused by the quiz questions on the knowledge of the great poet Abay Kunanbayev,traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, active participants of which were awarded prizes. Abay's verses about the Kazakh language, about the native land were heard. Touching upon the themes of culture and history of the people in ancient times it was fascinating to talk about the Kazakh national instrument "Dombra", where a student of group «Geodesy and cartography» - 11, Ergali Dulat performed the composition "Aday". Bektursynova Arailym performed the song "Kazakh Eli” beautifully and vocally . Kadyrbekova Ulzhan read the poem" Spiritual revival" very emotionally and expressively in Kazakh language. The meeting ended with the performance of a song about the native language.
In the end, the guest shared her impressions and wishes with the senior lecturer of the Department of Russian candidate of philology G.A.Sharipova she said that such events make the life of students more interesting and motivate them to learn not only foreign languages, but also to improve their knowledge of their native language,contribute to the prosperity of their native language,revive interest and respect for the traditions, history and culture of their native land.
