On May 27, 2020, the final meeting of the state examination commission was held, which conducted state certification of graduates of undergraduate educational programs at the Department of Foreign Philology. In the current academic year, the graduation consisted of 19 students of the 5B021000 educational program - “Foreign Philology” and 12 students of the 5B01923 educational program - “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages (German and French)”.
State exams were conducted as scheduled. All students, without exception, took an active part in the preparation and development of a technical algorithm for connecting to the Microsoft Teams platform, which gave its results and exams passed without delays and technical failures. All graduates passed the oral examination in the specialty with dignity and demonstrated good knowledge of both a practical foreign language and the basics of the theory of linguistics and foreign literature, as well as teaching methods and pedagogical technologies.

The second stage of state certification of graduates was open protection of theses. Graduates demonstrated the results of their scientific research, which were achieved in the course of practical work, observations, surveys, as well as experiments conducted during pedagogical, industrial and undergraduate practice. Among the graduation works there are projects that participated in various national and international conferences, student research competitions, subject Olympiads and became winners and awarded with diplomas, certificates, diplomas. Almost 50% of theses were tested in the form of participation in scientific forums and the publication of scientific articles in collections of scientific conferences and seminars.
A feature of the subject matter of the thesis is the fact that among them about 5% are topics received from employers.
For example, such as “The updated program as a factor in the development of language communication”, “Formation of foreign language communication competencies in the context of the updated program through information technology”, “The use of information and educational tools as a way to increase the linguistic-cognitive motivation of students” were performed by students under the close supervision of partners from production . In this regard, the partners of the department were invited to the defense.
So, the defense of the thesis was attended by the representative of the German Society “Widergeburt” in Nur-Sultan and Akmola Region Baygozhaeva Aiman Maksutovna and a teacher of the highest category of school-gymnasium №3 of the city of Nur-Sultan Erzhanova Saule Bayazitovna. Representatives of employers not only participated, they asked questions in German and French and expressed their opinion on the quality of the submitted work. In particular, they noted that the works are of great practical importance and contain many useful recommendations for teachers of secondary schools and language cultural centers. In addition, a representative of the “Widergeburt” Society invited the best graduates to work in the cultural center as project managers.
Graduates of the Department of Foreign Philology thanked the members of the State Certification Commission for assessing their level of professional preparedness and wished their native department good students and further success.
