Participation in Jury of Essay-Contest Dedicated to MAHATMA GANDHI

“G-Global” Project Development Center “Great Silk Road” of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU together with the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan, held an essay contest on the theme “be the change you want to see in the world.” These well-known words of truth belong to Mahatma Gandhi, a talented politician who set the goal of his entire life to fight for the independence of India and the rights of its people. This year, the whole world is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the great Mahatma Gandhi, and ENU. L.N. Gumilyov is no exception.

Punit Gaur, PhD, Head of the “G-Global” Project Development Center “Great Silk Road” of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU and his colleagues did a great job of organizing and summing up the results of the essay competition, which was attended by bachelor and master students from several Kazakhstani universities.

 

Head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department, Faculty of Philology Beisembaeva Zh.A. took part in the work of the contest jury and analyzed the essays on the quotation of Mahatma Gandhi in English.

A delegation of the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan headed by Ambassador Prabhat Kumar arrived at ENU to present 1-3 prize diplomas to the winners of the essay competition as well as to present letters of thanks and memorable gifts to the jury members.

 

Memorable gifts and diplomas for essays in English were received by students of the Regional Studies Department of ENU and an undergraduate of the Kazakhstan branch of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Each of more than 100 participants received a certificate of participation and a memorable gift from the delegation of the Indian Embassy.

 

Let me once again congratulate the Indian people on honoring the 150th anniversary of the hero and fighter of all nations – Mahatma Gandhi.
