The theater heals souls

At the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics there is a long tradition of visiting opera or drama theaters joint with the students.

On the eve of the March 8 holiday, student groups of automation and management, journalists, archaeologists and religious scholars once again visited the M. Gorky State Academic Russian Drama Theater.  Last time our group of journalists was enthusiastic about the performance in the modern interpretation of "Romeo and Juliet", and now the ironic drama "Valentine's Day" impressed us very much.

We were pleasantly surprised by the plot, the acting and, of course, the indescribable atmosphere on the stage.  From the very beginning, with a stared look, we watched the ongoing development of the action and the way the fate of the heroes unfolded.

The play "Valentine's Day" is about true love, which connected three simultaneously similar and completely different destinies.  There was an unusual impression from play, since the absence of a negative character was a distinguishing feature of it.  It reflected the true story of life – people wanted to believe what they saw and they did.  They lived with the heroes their lives, they felt hundreds of emotions ... The final of the performance was not happy, but it was the best for such story.

"Valentine's Day" is a reflection of love that lives in spite of everything. We could feel it from the stage and get a tremendous pleasure from viewing the performance.  I would like to thank the stage director and the whole creative team for this creation.  There is a hope that visiting the theaters will become a good tradition of our group.  Surely, the theatre heals the souls!
