January 9, 2019, the department of practical Kazakh language, together with the scientific library of the ENU. L.N. Gumilyov held an informative meeting «El jáne eńbek» («People and Labor»), dedicated to the Year of Youth. The event was attended by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Abaeved Omar Zhaleluly as the main guest, as well as university professors, library staff and students of the preparatory department.
The head of the mentioned department and the preparatory department Kuandyk Kulmanov at the beginning of the meeting briefed the audience on the life and activities of the guest. The event was held in question-answer format. Since it was dedicated to the Year of Youth, most of the questions touched upon those of interest to students who came from abroad. For example, family, the role and duty of future fathers and mothers, raising children, decent education, hard work, dedication to the profession, etc.
The students of the preparatory department Erenkaiyp Kopbay, Berdigul Tileukhan, Damira Khmumariya, Kulipa Keshubay, Gulzhaugar Zhuaskhan and Omirtay Bolatbek received specific answers to their questions about traditions, friendship, time, religion and society, good education, and the author's books.
The teachers also asked questions on current topics. The guest expressed his opinion on the upbringing, mother tongue, the questions asked by Professor Kuandyk Kulmanov, senior teacher Magzumbekova Amina and veteran teacher Konysbek Makenov.
The coordinator of the event, Associate Professor Gulbaira Otelbay, in her closing remarks, wished well-being and success to all and thanked Omar Zhaleluly, the staff of the scientific library, professors, and teachers, and finally presented souvenirs to the guest.
