On June 15, 2020 Head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department Zh. Beisembaeva visited Abay Kunanbayev School-Gymnasium No. 87 with a working visit. There was a meeting of the representative of L.N. Gumilyov ENU with the leadership of the school-gymnasium: Principal Aigul Kashayeva and the head teacher for academic work Tulebayeva Anargul Shaimuldinovna.
The purpose of the visit of the Department Head to the secondary educational institution was to discuss the possibilities of expanding cooperation with the new partner of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department. The gymnasium was founded on September 01, 2019 and is already actively cooperating with higher educational institutions. In 2020, for the first time, School-Gymnasium No. 87 became the base for students of the educational program “6В01719 / 5В011900 – Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” for taking educational, pedagogical and industrial practice. Principal of the gymnasium A.Kashayeva and English teachers took part in online meetings with graduates of 2020, in online meetings of commissions for taking student reports on the results of internships at the Gymnasium.
Moreover, Principal of the Gymnasium A.Kashayeva became a member of the working group on the development of the educational program “6В01719 - Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” for admission of bachelors in 2020.
On the proposal of the Dean of the Philology Faculty A. Beisenbay and Head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department Zh. Beisembaeva to open a branch of ENU on the basis of the Abay Kunanbayev School-Gymnasium No. the leadership gave a positive answer. An agreement has already been signed on opening a branch by Principal of the gymnasium. It is planned to open an office of the branch, do joint development of syllabuses in English and to organize a joint educational and methodological event.
