A scientific seminar was held "Kazakhstan scientific schools»

On October 23, 2019, within the framework of the approved plan of scientific seminars for the 2019-2020 academic year, a regular meeting with the participation of teachers, undergraduates and students was held at the faculty of Philology of L. N. Gumilev ENU.

At the scientific seminar the report "Kazakhstan scientific schools" was made by doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of theoretical and applied linguistics Zhunusova Zh.N.

The purpose of the scientific seminar is to acquaint students, undergraduates and young scientists with the traditions of scientific linguistic schools, to discuss topical problems of Philology, taking into account their involvement in modern paradigms of scientific knowledge, as well as to increase professional interest and attract young researchers to actively participate in research work.

The scientific seminar was devoted to questions of formation and development of academic linguistic community, characteristic and conceptual systems of scientific schools, methodological, and theoretical approaches to the study of fundamental and applied scientific problems, development of ideas which have become fundamental to a particular school also acquainted with the scientific heritage of the Kazakh school of linguistics, which represented Professor Valentina Atesina Isengalieva.

In her speech Zh.N. Zhunusova told about the main stages of the development of language science, conceptual provisions of the main linguistic scientific schools and major linguists (representatives of scientific schools and directions), dwelt on the most important achievements obtained by representatives of a particular school, the basic principles of linguistic research, presented a brief analysis of the impact of a linguistic direction on the modern paradigm of language science.

Further, Professor Zhunusova Zh. N. elaborated on the scientific activities of the famous Kazakh linguist Valentina Aiteshevna Isengalieva, who made a great contribution to the development of domestic linguistics. Speaker with a special interest drew attention to the life and activities of Esengalieva V. A., stressing that it is (V. A. Aitasheva) - a prominent scientist of world renown in many areas of linguistics: Russian, Kazakh and Turkic languages, General linguistics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, comparative-historical, typological and contrastive linguistics, comparative lexicography, and research interests of the scientist are varied and extensive, and the depth and thoroughness of achievements, their impact on modern science is undeniable. Also, Professor Zh.N. Zhunusova reported that V. A. Isengalieva is the author of more than 200 publications, of which more than 20 are fundamental monographs, textbooks, scientific articles and reviews. So, her monograph on the contrastive analysis of languages of different structures "Russian prepositions and their equivalents in the Kazakh language", "The use of cases in Russian and Kazakh languages", "Service names and postpositions in Kazakh language", "Affixoid and suffixoids in the Russian language", etc. are recognized not only in Kazakhstan but also abroad.

The speaker further informed that under the guidance of Professor V. A. Isengalieva candidate (21) and doctoral (2) dissertations (one of them on the problems of bilingual lexicography) were defended. In scientific works of her students questions about the in-depth complex development of the theory of lexicography on a specific material of Russian and Kazakh languages were raised and solved.

And today we can say, according to Zh.N. Zhunusova, about the creation of the Kazakh school of bilingual lexicography, which was founded by Professor V. A. Isengalieva.

Professor Zhunusova J.N. analyzed the research on lexicography. So, today in the Kazakhstan linguistic science researches on bilingual dictionaries are conducted on different aspects: semanticization of verbs of emotions, intellectual activity, social relations; design of suffixoid nouns on the material of Russian-Kazakh dictionaries; interpretation of foreign words (on the material of Russian-English and English-Russian dictionaries); the works of young Kazakh researches reflect actual problems of comparative linguistics, theory and practice of bilingual lexicography, phraseography, paremiography, grammar, author's and dialectal lexicography, etc.

The speaker summarized her presentation with the following statement: "Years, decades will pass, and in our hearts and memory there will remain the outstanding scientist-philologist, the founder of scientific directions of the Kazakhstan linguistics V.A. Isengaliyeva... Called by her vital lot to professorship, Valentina Aiteshevna Isengaliyeva has created a loud name at a time of her life, having left a notable trace in the history of an academic science of Kazakhstan, having created scientific schools on comparative grammar and bilingual lexicography"

The informative and detailed report of Professor Zhunusova Zh.N. caused a lively interest among teachers and students, as the question of formation and development of the Kazakhstan linguistic schools, scientific directions remains one of the actual and poorly studied problems in linguistics.

It should be noted that this scientific event was a continuation of a series of seminars on Kazakh language schools. Last academic year, Professor Zhunusova Zh.N. established a tradition of seminars and round tables with discussion of issues related to the formation and development of linguistic scientific schools, linguistic trends, research of methodological, theoretical and applied problems, with the scientific heritage of outstanding scientists and linguists, etc. Thus, at one of the sessions of the scientific seminar Professor Zh.N.Zhunusova presented a report on the scientific school of the famous scientist Gabdulla Ashimovich Meiramov - one of the founders of the new direction - methods of teaching Russian language in the Kazakh school.

We hope that such a format of communication is equally interesting and useful both for beginners and experienced researchers, because it allows not only to learn and understand scientific information, but also to coordinate and correct their "program" of scientific activity and self-determination in the scientific space.
