On February 27, 2019 the QS agency (United Kingdom) published the results of the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject. According to the results, for the first time the subject “Linguistics” was ranked as well as “Physics and Astronomy”.
The subject "Linguistics" entered the top 251-300 among 868 universities of the world. Of the 4 criteria of the methodology, the highest rates are marked in “Employer Reputation” and “Academic Reputation”.

For the 2019 ranking, more than 22 million publications were analyzed, for which 200 million citations, 48 subjects and 5 scientific fields “Arts and Humanities”, “Engineering and Technologies”, “Life Sciences and Medicine”, “Natural Sciences”, "Social Sciences and Management " from 1222 universities in the world.
