Improving the quality of human capital is the basis of the educational policy of Kazakhstan

   March 1, 2019 lecturers of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages A.E. Asanova and D.B. Akynova delivered a presentation to the students of groups FL-11 and FL-29 in the student house №5 in the framework of educational work. The topic of presentation was devoted to the programmes and changes in the field of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

   As part of the National Plan – “100 concrete steps”  initiated by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev there are 5 planned steps in the field of education aimed at improving the quality of human capital on the basis of standards of OECD countries (Organization for economic cooperation and development).

The new education system is aimed at improving the functional literacy of graduates. In this regard, the educational system is undergoing significant changes. The main reforms in the field of education include the following:

·        Updated content of education in all classes ;

·        Creativity in the assessment, the SOR and the electronic diary.

·        Reduction of the workload and time for homework, five days study;

·        Increase of English hours in high school.

·        Transition to the Kazakh language and Latin.

·        New subjects and electronic textbooks.

·        Increase in number of  grants.

·        Spealised universities.

·        Anti-plagiarism for student work.

·        Innovations for part-time students.

·        Certificate for children with special educational needs.

·        Changes in the Bolashak scholarship.

 Students showed a high interest in the reforms associated with changes in higher education in Kazakhstan. Students asked questions, to which they received detailed explanatory answers. In general, students were very pleased with the presentation.
