Regulations on holding the Republican Olympiad in English for students of 1-2 courses of non-linguistic specialties

The Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University is conducting the Republican Olympiad on English Language among of 1st and 2nd year students of non-language specialties, which is dedicated to the revival of the spiritual values of the youth of Kazakhstan.
The Olympiad consists of three rounds.
Forms of tasks:
I round. (distance) the participants are selected according to the test results in their institutions;
II round. Testing (based on materials of the international standard including listening, lexical and grammar test and reading) - level B1 / B2;
III round. Homework: presentation of the project work on the theme "Spiritual Revival" (time limit :7 minutes).
Language of tasks in the Olympiad is English.
Students of state and private higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan are welcome to participate in the Olympiad. Please, send your online registration forms to olympiad.enu.2017@mail.ru, including:
1. online application of the participant (attached);
2. certificate (spravka or letter of confirmation) from the place of study of each participant;
3. identity card / passport (copy).
Deadline: February 20, 2018
Venue: Kazakhstan, 010008 Astana, Satpayev Street, 2, room 303 L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (main building).

Expenses related to participation in the Olympiad are covered by the participant.
Winners will be awarded diplomas and certificates.
