On February 13, 2021, the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages held an online video contest on the topic «My University-my home-my family» among the students of the specialty «Foreign language: two foreign languages». For the organization of the contest were developed the special requirements for the videos. The videos were evaluated according to the following criteria: content (disclosure of the stated topic within the chosen direction and genre), language (oral and written speech), audio-visual solution, and originality. The videos were attached on the special «Video Contest» team of Microsoft Teams and the survey was conducted in Google Form for an objective evaluation of the contest. 172 respondents voted for each video. As a result, the 1st place was awarded to the 4th year student Shagyrbayeva Aikerim-94.2%; the 2nd place was awarded to the 1st year student Zairova Amina-55.8% and the 3rd place was awarded to the 4th year student Kasimova Madina-69.2%. At the meeting of the department, the authors of the videos that were among the winners of the competition were awarded with appropriate diplomas.
