The business reputation of the author, the prospects for further promotion of his ideas at the international level, and his development as a highly qualified specialist largely depend on how well, logically and competently the material is structured and presented. An insufficient level of formation of the communicative competencies of a scientist can become a significant obstacle on the way to effective scientific interaction.

During his speech, prof. Chernyavskaya focused on what is the driving factor, the drive for those people who decide to connect their lives with research, and the academic environment. In response to the question: “Why do science?” gave reasoned answers, presented the results of a sociological survey, and outlined positive and negative motives.

“The result of scientific research, in the fair opinion of the scientist, must not only be put forward but also recognizable.” Further, Valeria Evgenievna touched upon the issue of identifying a scientific result in the global digital space, presenting scientific results in the international Scopus and WoS databases, emphasized the importance of metadata, drew attention to the structure of a scientific publication, strong positions of the text: title, keywords, annotations. Solving the task of promoting a scientific publication, according to the scientist, the researcher simultaneously solves the problem of promoting national science, the actual national ideology.

After the presentation, the speaker was asked numerous questions. A large number of questions addressed to the speakers at the end of the seminar once again confirmed that the problems voiced are relevant and arouse genuine interest. The participants of the seminar thanked the speakers and organizers for the necessary, important, large-scale scientifically based seminar and expressed their hope for the continuation of the conversation on scientific communication issues.
