On April 19, 2019 the Department of Chinese Philology organized a scientific seminar "Actual problems of Chinese linguistics" dedicated to the 20th of April - International Chinese Language Day.

Vice-rector for international relations and innovations Somzhurek Baubek Zhumashuly, Adviser to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Kazakhstan Jiao Huaysin, representative of Beijing palace palace Yang Jiang, director of Confucius Institute Yale Lei, Director of Panda Language Center Mukhtarhan Zhuldyz Abuseyt Bires, the teacher of 67 schools, as well as teachers and students of the Chinese philology department The scientific seminar was opened by the head of the Chinese philology department, Doctor of Philology, professor Duken Masimhanuly.

The first congratulatory message was given to Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovation, Somjurek Baubek Zhumashuly. At the end of the seminar, the guests of the seminar congratulated them on the occasion of the event and, in the end, the head of the Chinese Philology Department, Ph.D., Professor Duken Masimhanuly suggested that Chinese language is in demand now and that it would be a great opportunity for future events. At the end of the seminar, guests watched the concert prepared by students of the Chinese Philology Department.

The second part of the scientific seminar was held in auditorium 316 with the special lecture hall of the Chinese philology department. Teachers at the Institute of Confucius and teachers of the Department of Chinese Philology delivered a report at the seminar. At the end of the seminar, teachers and students asked questions and shared their views on the report. The seminar was held at a high level.
