The Department of Russian Philology of ENU and school-lyceum №48 organized a Round Table. Participants of the event spoke about one of the leaders of the «Alash party», poet, linguist, editor of the «Kazakh» newspaper Akhmet Baitursynov in the framework of the «Rukhani zhangyru» program. The round table was organized by teachers and pupils of the senior classes of school-lyceum №48, and also by educators Zh.A. Kuandykova and A.T. Zhumsakbayev, senior tutor of B.T. Zhienalina.
The event began with a recital of Ahmet Baitursynov's poems by students of grades 9-11. Welcoming speech was given to the senior teacher B.T. Zhienalina, who expressed her hope that the life and creative heritage of Ahmet Baitursynov will continue to interest many, as «it is a fertile ground for further research». This idea was supported by teachers A.T. Zhumsakbaev and Zh.A. Kuandykov. They prepared a report and had a useful conversation with all participants of the round table.
The head of the school Zaure Zhakhanovna summed up the results of the event: «People like Ahmet Baitursynov and other members of Alash serve as role models. They should not be forgotten». The audience was interested, questions were asked.
