An open educational event “Youth is the future of the country” was held at the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages (Philological Faculty, L.N. Gumilyov ENU) in the framework of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan “GROWING WELFARE OF KAZAKH CITIZENS: INCREASE IN INCOME AND QUALITY OF LIFE” on October 25, 2018. The students of ShT-11 group and their tutor D. Akynova were responsible for this event.
As noted in the Address, 2019 is declared the Year of Youth. The students discussed the key points of the Address of the President to the people of Kazakhstan, highlighting the role of youth in the development of the state. As representatives of the youth of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students of the ShT-11 group focused on the existing achievements of Kazakhstan's youth, as well as the topic of one hundred new faces.
The head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages, associate professor Zh. Beissembayeva, senior tutor S. Issayev, lecturers of the department and freshmen attended the event.
Within the framework of the state policy of trilingualism, students presented their speeches in three languages. During the festive event, students sang, danced, played the dombra. ShT-11 group student Kassym Dzhantemirov gave the audience a wonderful mood by performing the kuy “Adai”. During the concert, students organized a discussion about the importance of a feeling of patriotism among the audience of the event.
The students took an active part in the discussion of the main provisions of the Address, where one of the priorities is the comprehensive support of all categories of young people. They promised to make their personal contribution to the implementation of the President’s Address.
