October 25, 2019 Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages of Faculty of Philology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University together with the Department of Foreign Languages, EKA University of Applied Sciences (Riga, Latvia), Hebel Gymnasium (Pforzheim, Germany), and the University of Washington in St. Louis (Missouri, USA) held the International Conference “THE ART OF PERSUASION AND COMMUNICATION: DEVELOPING SPEAKING SKILLS".
Doctor of Sciences, Professor at the University of Applied Sciences EKA Turusheva Larisa (Riga, Latvia), Director of Hebel Gymnasium Thomas Paeffgen (Pforzheim, Germany), English teacher of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages José Humberto Baeza Estrada (Mexico, USA) and teacher of the University of Washington in St. Louis (Missouri, USA) and English teacher of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages, volunteer of L.N. Gumilev ENU on the program “BOLASHAK” Jacob Levitan and the head of the department of theory and practice of foreign languages, candidate of philological sciences Beisembaeva Zhanna Alibievna made plenary lectures at the conference. First-year undergraduates of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages of L.N. Gumilyov ENU also took part in the conference.
