On 13 February 2019, an event was held in the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the Year of the book in the CIS and the 220th anniversary of A.S.Pushkin on the topic "The past has flown out eagerly to embrace me...".
The event was organized by the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Center for Science and Culture, the Department of Russian Philology of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov.
As the part of event the opening of the exhibition “Portraits of Pushkin” was held which provided by the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin (Moscow).
The main curator of the State Museum of A.S. Pushkin Elena Usova (Moscow) held the fascinating and rich exhibition. The participants were the Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of philology, Professor S. Abdrakhmanov, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Astana K. Vorobyov, Professor of the Department of Actor's Art and Directing KazNUA S. Matveyev.
Romances on poems by A.S. Pushkin and Gremin's aria from the opera Eugene Onegin were performed by the soloists of the theatre Astana Opera.
A round table on “Pushkin into modern world” took place. The event was attended by faculty and students of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Kazakh Branch, first year masters of the specialty "Russian language and literature" of the ENU Faculty of Philology, teachers and students of the school number 73.
Discussions had focused on the heritage museum of Pushkin, Pushkin in Kazakh translations, topical issues of domestic scientific and literary of Pushkin. Performance of Pushkin’s poems by student D. Kazakov gave the event the spirit of unfading charm of poetry.
The participants were presented with the presentation “Walking with Pushkin. A.S. Pushkin in Kazakhstan ”, which prepared by the professor of the department of Russian philology K. Urazayeva jointly with master K. Abylkhasova.
G. Budanova made a submission on behalf of the masters with the idea of what does Pushkin mean for a modern person, culture, and the Russian and Kazakh peoples.
Participants in the round-table discussion noted the importance of the spreading ideas of Pushkin in Kazakhstan.
