On November 18, 2020, senior lecturer of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages Latanova Raisa Uapovna held an event dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the 2nd year students of the department (IL-21 and IL-22). The lesson was conducted in three languages - Kazakh, Russian and English. The event was based on the series of documentaries "Seven Facets of Independence". Each of the 7 films was discussed, examples were given, students actively participated in the conversation, gave examples on all topics - economics, integration processes, interethnic accord, anti-nuclear initiatives, a new capital, transit potential, and the return of compatriots to their homeland.
Particular attention was paid to the seventh film "The Way to Prosperity", as this film is dedicated to the young capital, it is very close to young people. The students were very interested in the questions of the quiz "Do you know that ...", everyone wanted to answer, to show knowledge of the history of their country. The event took place in one breath, no one was left aside, all students actively participated in the discussion. I would especially like to highlight Ertai Dana, Eskalieva Azhar, Aukenova Ayazhan, Smagulova Arailym, who showed good knowledge of the history and the present situation of Kazakhstan.
