On November 25, 2022, a curatorial hour was held at the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages ​​of the Faculty of Philology on the topic “He who opens a school door, closes a prison. Victor Hugo. The organizers were Ph.D., Associate Professor Gauriyeva G.M., students of group B018-1719-20-04 of the specialty "Foreign language: two foreign languages". The event was attended by 3rd year students.

The purpose of the event is to tell about the importance of the teaching profession; to cultivate a sense of respect for the teaching profession; 3) to introduce students to the moral values ​​of society.

Students said that every year on October 5, more than 100 countries celebrate Teacher's Day, which was established in 1994 as World Teachers' Day. This is a professional holiday for all teachers, professors and educators - a day that celebrates the role and merits of teachers in the process of quality education at all levels, as well as their invaluable contribution to the development of society.

The organizers talked with students about the profession of a teacher and the holiday established in honor of it, reflected on the role of a teacher in a person's life, talked about the role of education in the life of every person.

The speakers stressed that the effectiveness of the education system directly depends on the quality of pedagogical activity. In this regard, our university can be singled out. In the system of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan L.N. Gumilyov occupies a special place. It satisfies the needs of educational institutions of all regions of our republic for qualified personnel.
