On January 29, 2021, on the Microsoft Teams platform, 27 1st year students of "Kazakh Philology", " Industrial and Civil Construction", " Design of Buildings and Structures" and "Engineering networks and systems" of the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Architecture and Construction took part in the round table named "Youth against corruption". It was held in the framework of the 25th anniversary of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The purpose of the event was to form students' understanding of the consequences of corruption, expand their understanding, provide comprehensive information on how to avoid this crime; motivate young people to achieve great goals in society by honest work, justice and honesty, explain the consequences of looting state property and trust, develop critical thinking about punishment for a crime, form opinions, awaken patriotic feelings of youth in order to teach them to serve the country.
During the event, three presentations were made and students commented on the content of these presentations.
Students took an active part in the discussion of the problem. They noted that corruption has a negative impact on the development of the country's economy, and said that they would not remain indifferent to this issue in the future. Senior lecturer Khamitova A.G. asked questions and expressed her opinion on the eradication of corruption and its prevention. Senior teacher Zhuztaev Zh.B. expressed confidence that young people are our future and that they would fight corruption as responsible citizens. The event was very interesting, informative and useful.
