A PhD student of the Faculty of Philology on research internship in Bulgaria

The PhD student of the Department of Russian philology of specialty 6D021400 - "Literary Studies" Azkenova Zhanargul is doing a research internship at the St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University.

As part of the internship, on October 11-14, 2018, she took part in the XII International Symposium "Russian Studies in the Modern World" (Bulgaria, St. Cyril and Methodius University of Veliko Tarn) organized with the support of the International Association of Russian Language and Literature Teachers.

The Symposium was dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the foundation of the Russian Studies department of the St. Cyril and Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. 93 scientists from 10 countries (Japan, Bulgaria, Italy, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Taiwan, Romania, Ukraine) took part. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Assoc. Prof. D. Dimitrov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, prof. Zenka Ivanova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Mr. Robert Shestakov, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria, Representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Natalia Kiktenko, Representative of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bulgaria, Ms. Stoianka Pochekansk, Chief Expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms. Stoianka Pochekansk, Chief Expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, prof. Valentina Avramova, Chairwoman of the Russian Society of Bulgaria, stood with greetings. The congratulatory addresses of Andrei Gromov, the consul-general of the Russian Federation in Ruse, prof. Zakhari Zahariev, Chairman of the Bulgarian Federation of Friendship with the Peoples of Russia and the CIS, Yuri Todorov, Chairman of the Bulgarian National Network of Teachers of the Russian Language and Culture, were read out.

During the scientific internship, the PhD student Zh. Azkenova is attending lectures of scientists and visiting libraries, collecting and analyzing materials for writing her PhD dissertation.
