Students of the specialty “Foreign languages: Two foreign languages” of the Faculty of Philology of L.N. Gumilyov ENU are able to not only study hard and actively engage in public affairs, but also to relax to the fullest during their well-deserved winter holidays in the company of our volunteer teachers. After all, it is known that a healthy and enjoyable vacation contributes to fruitful work and study. Students acquaint foreign teachers with the historical and cultural places of our capital and region, visit the entertainment places of the city.
In the current academic year, Israel Beyene Mogis and Kebir Mohammed Jemal, Ethiopian citizens, graduates of the Ethiopian University of Architecture, Construction and Urbanization, work in the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages as English teachers and conduct joint classes with teachers of the department. Another foreign teacher, Jacob Levitan, also came to the Bolashak program as a native English speaker - a volunteer from the University of Washington in St. Louis.
Since September 2018, the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages has been working as a full-time teacher in the Master of Education, a U.S. and Mexican citizen, Jose Umberto Baeza Estrada, who is fluent in six foreign languages, and is currently researching the methods of using music in teaching foreign languages. studying in doctoral studies at an American university.
Students are very grateful for the opportunity to communicate with native English speakers, improve their speaking skills and improve vocabulary, which significantly affects students' motivation and the educational process as a whole. Teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages thank the ENU administration for the opportunity to conduct binary classes with foreign teachers and hope for long-term cooperation with them.
