GRATITUDE FOR PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR DISTANCE LEARNING

Kazakhstan started this academic year in online format, as well as many other countries. Despite the fact that users of social media often criticize the readiness of the government for distance education, the majority of schools, universities and colleges were prepared. However, besides the problem of internet service in some settlements, there has emerged the problem of providing devices to families, especially families with several students. Administration of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was one of the first among the universities of Kazakhstan who decided to provide equipment for distance learning to their staff with large families.

Support was so to the point as my family consists of two pupils, a  student and two pedagogues and each of them needs a computer for online lessons. Although there were two laptops at home, we had to buy another one on credit. Nevertheless, it still was not enough to have an uninterrupted access to the educational process. That is why we were happy to hear that the university was going to provide a computer for temporary use during the period of distance education.

In the everyday hustle and bustle we often forget to thank people for the support they gave us in difficult times. I am afraid that one day, when quarantine will end with permission of the Almighty this timely support which was very helpful and important for large families could be forgotten.

Now, I want to express my sincere thanks to the experienced and thoughtful head of our department Nurgali Kadisha Rustembekovna who always treats her coworkers with understanding in different aspects of their life such as family, health, housing and other problems. I feel a deep sense of gratitude to the Dean of our faculty Beisenbai Ardaq Baqytuly who always takes care of workers of the whole faculty for making a list of colleagues that need this kind of support. Thanks a lot to the Dean of the IT faculty Seilov Shakhmaran Zhursinbekovich and his coworkers for organization and fulfillment of the support. In the end, I need to say that we really appreciate the decision of our rector Sydykov Yerlan Battashevich which helped a lot of large families and gave an opportunity to not leave a single child out of the educational process.
