INFORMATION LETTER
January 17, 2019, there will be an Olympiad on English for the purpose of developing cognitive and creative interests of pupils in fundamental sciences at the L N Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The Olympiad consists of 1 round and 2 stages:
· Stage 1: Answer questions in IELTS format;
· Stage 2: Identify the winners and reward them.
11th grade students of general educational institutions (schools, gymnasiums, lyceums) can take part in the Olympiad. Participation is allowed only in one subject.
Participants are given 3 tasks in English.
Assessment Criteria:
1. The first task is Listening section. 30 min.
2. The second task is Reading section. 20 min (1 text)
3. Third task Speaking section. 15 min
Time limit to complete the task - 1 hour 15 minutes.
