Life in science: the linguistic personality of an interpreter

On April 11, 2018, within the framework of the Decade of Science, Philology faculty, General Linguistics and Translation theory department held a scientific seminar on the topic "Life in Science: the Language Personality of an Interpreter" dedicated to the work of a famous Kazakh writer, publicist, translator Gerald Karlovich Belger. In the work of the seminar, students, master students and doctoral students of the department took an active part.
The speakers introduced the students to the translation work of G.K. Belger. In general, 14 novels, 25 novellas, 12 plays and scripts, 175 short stories, essays, articles by well-known Kazakh authors were translated into Russian; from the German language to Russian translated 20 works.
